Come meet the club

Guests are welcome at KARC meetings and activities. You do not need to be a club member to come along and learn about amateur radio.

Club meetings

KARC is trying club meetings alongside Saturday breakfast at 8:30 AM at Kirsten’s Hideout Cafe, 1390 Columbia Street, Kamloops. The first trial meeting is Saturday, October 31, 2026. A fixed Saturday of the month has not been established, and the arrangement remains a trial. Contact secretary@karc.ca to confirm future meeting dates.

Saturday breakfast

The existing site lists a weekly Saturday breakfast at 8:30 AM at Kirsten’s Hideout Cafe. It is an informal opportunity to meet local operators, ask questions, and talk radio. Please confirm arrangements with the club before travelling.

Throughout the year

Club activities have included Field Day in June, Winter Field Day in January, the RAC Canada Day and Winter contests, the BC QSO Party, picnics, Christmas dinners, and repeater-site visits. Watch for individual announcements for confirmed dates and locations.
